Known to travelers heading for Glencoe, Rannoch Moor is a vast expanse of moorland, punctuated by boggy pools and loney stunted trees. Although it's traversed by a major road the place still has a heavy sense of wilderness. Red Deer roam here, birds of prey quarter the landscape and countless insects buzz constantly when the wind stills.

I slept overnight in my Landrover and awoke surrounded by midges and morning mists. Drizzle muted the colour palette, giving me a softness that contrasted with the hard wildness of the Moor.

I've created a gallery of Cyanotype images which you can enjoy. The cool blueness captures the atmosphere perfectly for me. I'm happy to make some of the images available for purchase too, should you wish to enjoy the coolness of a Highland Morning in your living space.
